International Short Film Festival of Pineda de Mar

CINEMART is a non-profit association that promotes cinematographic activity. As part of this objective, the International Short Film Festival is organized in Pineda de Mar (Barcelona). The year 2019 will be the sixth edition. In 2017, 1,133 shorts were presented in more than 50 countries. 26 films were pre-selected from among the 1,133 that were presented at the 4th edition of the International Short Film Festival of Pineda de Mar, and were screened at the Auditorium of Pineda between the 4th and the 8th of July. Also, in the festival, a self-production was directed by Marçal Mora, a story of pirates and privateers that focuses on the plot in Pineda in the 16th century and on the emblematic “Dragut” character. It was screened in Plaza España in front of a multitude of people, and it was a success. The short films are of different nationalities and genres. The town of Pineda de Mar prizes are awarded for the best animated short film, the best comedy and the “Audience Award”. This award is the result of the votes of the audience that views each one of the productions.
