L’ENCESA (Switching the Christmas lights on)

L’Encesa (Switching the Christmas lights on) welcomes Christmas. In the two most important shopping areas in Pineda Center and in Poblenou a symbolic event is held when the Christmas lights are first turned on for the season. The event is completed by a video mapping projection, several musical performances and fireworks.

The opening of the skating rink by the Figure Skating Club of Pineda de Mar completes the event of “L’Encesa”.

The year 2018 is the 3rd edition.

Location of the activity:
Plaça Catalunya (Catalunya Square) and Plaça Espanya (Espanya Square) (Pineda Centre) and Plaça del Pilar (Pilar Square) (Poblenou)

Timetable for the activity:
It starts at 7.30 p.m. at Plaça del Pilar (Pilar Square) (Poblenou) and then at 8.00 p.m. at Plaça Catalunya (Catalunya Square) (Pineda Centre), at 9.00 p.m. the opening of the skating rink (Espanya Square).
